Jordan Yamamoto has been exceptional since his promotion to the Majors on June 12th. In his 5 start, e has posted an ERA of 1.24 with 3 wins along the way. In his 29 innings, Yamamoto has an outstanding WHIP of .897. Yes, this is only 5 starts, but numbers like this cant help but get marlins fans excited.
Acquired in the Christian Yelich trade with the Brewers, Jordan came over to the 305 along with highly graded prospects OF Monte Harrison and 2B Isan Diaz. Jordan was in the minors in 2019 until Caleb Smith and Pablo Lopez went on the Injured List in Early June. Already a very crowded and talented pitching staff he has made a huge impact in a short amount of time. In his last 4 starts he has only allowed 2 hits. The Marlins hope Jordan can become a staple of this staff for the coming years and bring lots of success to the Club.
