Marlins in Last Place at Halfway Mark of Season, But Future Looks Bright

At the midway point of the season, the Marlins are in last place in the National League with a record of 33-55. From an outside perspective it looks like the same old Marlins barely fielding a Major League team. The marlins have been anything but pushovers.

The Marlins started the season in shambles with a record of 8-21. Since the the Marlins have played better with a 25-34 record. Now the record isnt why the Fans should have hope. Its the Starting Pitching Staff

Young arms like Caleb Smith, Jordan Yamamoto, All-Star Sandy Alcantara, and Pablo Lopez have all impressed the National League this year. Jordan Yamamoto has an outstanding ERA of 1.24 after 5 starts this season.

Brian Anderson, Garrett Cooper, Jorge Alfaro, and Harold Ramirez have all stepped up and have constistly been the Marlins best hitters.

With highly touted prospects in the Minor League such as pitcher Sixto Sanchez, 2nd Baseman Isan Diaz, and OF Monte Harrison, there is much hope for the future of the club.

The 2nd half of the season , The Marlins should keep with their plan, having these young players get their MLB experience without the pressure of winning every game.
