The Toronto Raptors shocked the world last night beating the Golden State Warriors 109 - 119 in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Even with Kawhi Leonard not having his best game, only scoring 23 points on 35% shooting from the floor, the Raptors outplayed the Warriors on both sides of the court. Pascal Siakam dropped 32 with big games from Marc Gasol and Fred VanVleet as well.
This begs the question does Kevin Durant want the warriors to play worse while KD is injured? Its normal human nature to desire being missed or noticed. Kevin Durant is no different. Since KD's injury the Warriors have been playing lights out, with Steph Curry playing like an MVP and showing the world he can still lead the team to a Finals. Now the Warriors ran into a brick wall in the Rapors and I can't help but think KD took a little pleasure in Golden State taking an L. I wouldn't say KD is rooting againist his teammates but the media's question for this past month has been "Do the Warriors Even Need KD?". Question such as those would bother any person.
