President Trump will be presenting Tiger Woods with the Presidential Medal of Freedom after Tiger's big win on Sunday.
Tiger Woods overcame major adversity and won his fifth Masters title over the weekend. His first win at this tournament since 2005.
This medal is the nation's highest honor for a civilian. President Trump took to Twitter to congratulate Woods and share more,
"Spoke to @TigerWoods to congratulate him on the great victory he had in yesterday’s @TheMasters, & to inform him that because of his incredible Success & Comeback in Sports (Golf) and, more importantly, LIFE, I will be presenting him with the PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM!"
Tiger Woods came from behind to win the Masters on Sunday. Woods shot a two-under-par in the final round and finished 13-under for the tournament winning by just one stroke. He knocked out Francesco Molinari who was sitting in first place for most of the tournament.
This was the first time in his career that Tiger has come from behind in the final day to win a major.
