Belle Glade (CBS12) — You would be hard pressed to find another school that's produced more NFL talent than Glades Central High School. The Miami Dolphins invited their Raiders football team to training camp earlier this year, and on Wednesday the Dolphins paid a visit to Belle Glade with an unbelievable gift.
The Dolphins surprised the football team with a brand new weight room, complete with all new equipment and brand new shoes. It's all part of the Junior Dolphins Donation Program.
Raiders head coach, and former Glades Central player, Jessie Hester knows how much the donation means to the kids, as does former Dolphin and Glades Central player Louis Oliver, who donated 5-thousand dollars to the team.
Dolphins Alumni Twan Russell capped off the day with an inspirational speech, one day before the Raiders travel to Miami to take on Booker T. Washington in round two of the playoffs. Twain encouraged the young Glades Central players to "press on", which is something the Raiders are now excited to do in their brand new weight room. Inspired to press forward towards their NFL dreams, with a big boost from the NFL Dolphins.
