Tropical Storm Edouard Forms

There is a new Tropical Storm named Edouard and two other areas to watch the next few days.

Tropical Storm Edouard is the 4th named storm of the season and no threat to any U.S. land area. It will move into the north Atlantic.

Edouard now holds the record for the earliest named E-storm, breaking the record previous held by Hurricane Emily set on July 11, 2005.

An area of clouds east of the Caribbean has only a 10% chance to develop next 5 days as it moves west. No threat to Florida at this time.

Another area of clouds in the northeast Gulf of Mexico has a 40% chance to develop after it moves across north Florida and into the Atlantic near the Carolina coast on Thursday.

This area of clouds will help afternoon storms form and moves across Florida during the week ahead.
