Heavy rain is causing flooding and massive traffic troubles today.
The National Weather Service has a Flood Watch posted for Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties through tomorrow morning.
Up to six inches of rain with some areas getting up to eight inches is expected.
Forecasters say don't rule out an isolated tornado and small hail. The good news is that the rain is much needed and
could effectively end South Florida's drought.
The National Weather Service warns of flash flooding and reminds drivers never travel through flooded roadways.
“Nearly half of all flood/flash flood fatalities are auto related,” the NWS says on its website. “Turn around and go another way.”
Hollywood residents can park for free in any of the city's four municipal garages through tomorrow morning.
Miami Beach residents concerned about rising water levels can park free at city-owned garages.
