Nearly a dozen men were arrested this week on prostitution and related charges in West Palm Beach.

The eleven arrests were part of a police sting operation as residents continue to complain that illegal activity is rampant. The men who were busted were allegedly looking to solicit prostitutes so police had undercover officers posing as those prostitutes.

Police spokesman Mike Jachles tells CBS 12 News the department is focused on cracking down on illegal activity.

"We've seen a reduction in these types of crimes but this is an ongoing effort. It involves the partnership with the community. It's not a one time roundup. This is something that is done in an ongoing basis."

He says over 100 people have been arrested in similar stings this year, with about two dozen facing felony charges.

Just last month, nine men were caught in a similar operation.
