Florida International University's Wall of Wind getting a financial windfall just a day before the start of the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz says four-million-dollars in federal funding will go toward research and testing. The Wall of Wind is used for researching extreme weather and testing future climate scenarios. The large-scale hurricane simulator is capable of generating 157-mile-per-hour wind speeds to enhance resilience for residential and commercial buildings.
