Senators Hand Lightning Second Straight Loss

The Ottawa Senators (23-27-2) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (30-22-5) 4-2 on Monday night at Amalie Arena.

Former Lightning forward Mathieu Joseph scored two goals for Ottawa to lead the Senators. Tampa Bay got goals from Brayden Point and Mitchell Chaffee, while goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy went 24-of-28 in net in the loss.

For the Lightning it was their second consecutive loss, both at home, after falling to the Panthers 9-2 on Saturday evening.

Tampa Bay is next in action when they host the Washington Capitals on Thursday night. Puck drop from Amalie Arena is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
