Several sites will be distributing sandbags for residents preparing for the projected heavy rainfall.
The City of North Miami Beach Division of Emergency Management will be distributing sandbags 7a-noon at the City of North Miami Beach Fleet Maintenance Building at 1965 NE 151 Street--residents must show a valid ID to collect up to 4 sandbags per household.
Miami Gardens residents can pickup sandbags at the north end of the Archdiocese property located at 183rd and NW 12th Avenue-- residents need ID for pickup--a 7 bag limit while supplies last there.
Pembroke Pines -sandbags for residents with ID are available from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at:
Pembroke Pines Health Park at 1001 Poinciana Drive
William B. Armstrong/Spring Valley Park at 1700 NW 160th Avenue
And for 1st come-1st served residents in Miramar-- sandbags will be handed out from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
