Broward wants to raise the curtain on the film and television industry setting it's sights on the county. Commissioner Steve Geller is hosting a film summit in the Broward Chambers to discuss all the incentives the county will give for those who film here. Geller says subsidies include one-stop permitting, low cost locations, year-round filming and the county is about to break ground on a 100-thousand-square foot sound stage, one of the largest south of Georgia. Broward created its own Film Commission after unanimous approval from commissioners last year.
