Man lights cars on fire at Southwest Florida home while hallucinating

Naples, FL - A man's been arrested after he set fire to multiple cars at a Southwest Florida home while hallucinating.

Collier County deputies arrested Craig Lumb after he set fire to several vehicles at a Naples home on Sunday.

Deputies say the victim awoke around midnight after smelling smoke.

Upon exiting his home, the victim found an active fire in his car, and another fire outside of the vehicle.

The victim tried unsuccessfully to put the fire out with a small extinguisher.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found a bench was on fire in the victim's driveway.

A deputy used a hose to contain the fire until fire fighters extinguished the flames.

Investigators say one vehicle sustained burn marks on the front passenger seat, the driver seat, and the passenger door.

Another car in the victim's garage sustained burns to the second row of seats.

When deputies questioned Lumb, he began to hallucinate about objects that weren’t there.

Lumb was taken to North Collier Hospital for evaluation before being arrested on a first degree arson charge.
