Miami Dolphins Lose More Key Players To Injury

(CBS12) The Miami Dolphins were hoping to pull off an impressive road win in Green Bay, and head into their bye week with a chance to heal up some injuries to key players. Not only were they embarrassed with a 31-12 loss to the Packers, but their injury situation got way worse in the process.

The Dolphins had a thin offensive line heading into Lambeau Field, where temperatures were in the low 30's, and those injuries seemed to cause problems. With quarterback Ryan Tannehill out of action with a shoulder injury, backup quarterback Brock Osweiler was sacked 6 times. The Dolphins also struggled in the red zone, failing to score a touchdown on all three of their red zone opportunities. Osweiler has not thrown a single touchdown in three straight games.

Aaron Rodgers, on the other hand, connected for touchdowns twice with Davante Adams, while Aaron Jones ran for 145 yards and two more touchdowns.

The bad got even worse when wide receivers Jekeem Grant and Devante Parker were both injured, and forced to leave the game, on the same 4th quarter drive. Parker suffered a shoulder injury, while Grant appeared to re-injure his left Achilles.

Cornerback Bobby McCain also left the game after being blindsided on a block from Equanimeous St. Brown early in the second half.

The now 5-5 Dolphins have two weeks to solve their injury problems. They will travel to Indianapolis next to take on the Colts on Sunday, November 25th.
