Verizon offers free calls, texts and data to Floridians impacted by Ian

St. Petersburg, FL - Verizon Wireless announced the company is offering unlimited calls, texts and data to Florida customers impacted by Hurricane Ian.

The company announced that unlimited calls, text and data kicks in for customers and small business owners starting September 28th and running thru October 4th.

The relief applies to users in the following counties: Charlotte, DeSoto, Hardee, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota.

Verizon small business customers include customers with 50 or less lines.

Customers don't have to take any steps to be included in the offer. Residents can check to see if they're eligible by entering their zip code here. 

Verizon said they're closely monitoring the Hurricane and will extend the offer to other Floridians if needed.

Shawn Alexander, consumer vice president for Verizon, said in a press release, "Hurricane Ian has already disrupted the lives of millions of Floridians. We hope this offer gives our customers one less thing to worry about so they can focus on staying safe.”
