Nashville Predators Honor Hero in Waffle House Shooting

Shortly after, a gunman opened fire in a Nashville Waffle House, the Nashville Predators showed their gratitude to the man who stopped the incident. James Shaw Jr. has been named a hero after getting the gun away from the shooter in that Waffle House around a week ago.

The city showed their appreciation at Game 2 of the Predators' Western Conference semifinals on Sunday night. Prior the game, Shaw met with the coach and received his very own personalized jersey.

The crowd then gave Shaw a well-deserved standing ovation during the game!

Shaw bravely wrestled the AR-15 away from the gunman and stopped more bloodshed from occurring both inside and outside that Waffle House. Shaw was injured in the process, along with 4 others and 4 did tragically lose their lives, but the incident was nowhere near as bad as it could have been thanks to Shaw. Since the incident, Shaw has also raised more than $160,000 for the victims and their families.
